About
Darina Granik entered the fashion and media world in 2008. She launched the first ever street style website IMOD in her native city Odessa, in Ukraine, which transitioned into a web magazine about fashion and culture in the city. She also worked as a columnist and a photo reporter for the largest print magazine of Odessa.
In 2012, Darina resumed her studies in Toronto, where she received a Certificate in Fashion Coordination and Styling, as well as a Master's of Arts in Fashion from Ryerson University. She has been working at FAJO Magazine since her internship. Her high-profile coverages at FAJO included the Royal Visit of the Danish Royal Family, as well as exclusive interviews with various celebrities, such as Doutzen Kroes and Manolo Blahnik. In addition, she has been published in Montecristo Magazine, Hey Alma and Kveller, as well as the academic journal Zone de Moda
Darina is also a fashion scholar, whose research focuses on style icons and their role in society. In 2021 Darina launched a unique intellectual project, Darina Granik Culture Club, where she hosts lectures on the history of fashion, art and culture paired with gastronomic experiences in the best venues of Toronto.
